SCI
SCI-Indexed Journals
SCI-indexed journals carry weight for science and engineering researchers. We help you plan, build and present research for SCI and SCIE journals, so your paper is ready for rigorous peer review.
What you should know
The Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) is part of the Web of Science Core Collection, run by Clarivate. People often say “SCI” when they mean SCIE, which is the version in use today.
Journals in this index are evaluated by Clarivate, and many receive a Journal Impact Factor in the annual Journal Citation Reports. A high impact factor means high competition, so the contribution and evaluation must be strong.
How PhDPRIMA helps, end to end
- Gap analysis against recent SCI and SCIE papers in your subject
- Simulation, experiments and statistics built to the journal’s standard
- Manuscript structured around a clear, defensible contribution
- Submission and revision support, including additional experiments if reviewers ask
How to check it yourself
- Look the journal up in the Clarivate Master Journal List
- Check which index it appears in (SCIE or another) and its current status
- Read recent issues to confirm your paper type fits
Common questions
Is SCI different from SCIE?
SCIE is the current version of the index. Many universities say “SCI” in their rules and accept SCIE journals. Check your institution’s wording.
Can you promise an SCI paper?
No honest partner can. We improve the research, the manuscript and the journal strategy, and the journal’s reviewers make the decision.
